WindUp Ensemble is a collective of musicians dedicated to redefining the traditional concert experience. Our multi-media approach to music-making, with an emphasis on audience interaction, creates a relational dynamic between us and the audience. Our aim is to break down barriers and find art in the process of music making, rather than in static works.
Founders Jonty Lefroy Watt and Mihály Győrfi place a strong emphasis on performing new music. Beyond programming new works, WindUp Ensemble is looking to connect with other emerging composers and, especially, with artists from other disciplines.
